And maybe.

The Blower's Daughter By Damien Rice

And so it is
Just like you said it would be
Life goes easy on me
Most of the time

And so it is
The shorter story
No love, no glory
No hero in her sky

I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes...

And so it is
Just like you said it should be
We'll both forget the breeze
Most of the time

And so it is
The colder water
The blower's daughter
The pupil in denial

I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off of you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes off you
I can't take my eyes...

Did I say that I loathe you?
Did I say that I want to
Leave it all behind?

I can't take my mind off of you
I can't take my mind off you
I can't take my mind off of you
I can't take my mind off you
I can't take my mind off you
I can't take my mind...
My mind...
my mind...
'Til I find somebody new

And she watched him sleep, inhaled his scent and felt his warmth, and felt her heart break a little more.

And quietly, she gathered the blanket around her, trying to grasp her sanity, wishing it were so easy, and crept out to the bathroom.

And she stared at herself in the mirror, too afraid to turn on the light, too afraid to look herself in the eye. Her eyes were slightly bruised and hazy, and her face was a bit swollen.

And he hadn't hurt her. Not physically, anyway.

She glanced at him over her shoulder, feeling her need overwhelm her. So peacefully, he slept, so quietly, the unbroken sleep of a tired soul.

Why, she wondered, was she so afraid of him?

Because, she knew, he could destroy her and walk away without ever knowing. And that was the worst part, his not knowing.

Beautiful song.
Now that I read the lyrics, I recall the song. It is a beautiful song. And a hard one to try to sing too.
